Mister Marvel - (Alfie)

23rd September 1990 to 5th April 2002

As a companion for Fudge we purchased our first rough collie “Alfie”.  He was a nice puppy but never developed into a show dog during his adult career. He was a wonderful pet who left a massive hole in our lives when he left us on the 5th April 2002.

 

Alfie had a short illness and we had to make the hardest decision of all dog owners, to have him put him to sleep when he was approaching his 12th birthday.

 

It is Alfie who was responsible for our affix as we called our house Alfsden after him. He was a big upstanding shaded sable with a big white rough and collar, but a “flying” ear, so not much good in the show ring.

 

Alfie’s dad was Sandiacre Stop ‘N’ Think and after speaking to Jack Wigglesworth he was everything like his dad in personality.

 

Alfie was very close to Fudge and when he left us she pined for weeks, not eating or sleeping.
